In the Ukrainian capital 243.5 thousand square meters of roads were repaired since the beginning of 2011 within the city's preparation for Euro 2012. Until the end of the year this figure are planning to increase almost three times - up to 650 thousand square meters.
This was stated according to the General Directorate of Transport and Communications of the Kyiv City State Administration.
According to management, maintenance of roads in Kiev in 2011 is planned to be 72.28 million UAH from the city budget, and 40 million UAH - from the public.
Works are carried out simultaneously in all parts of the city. Now started to repair the road surface in the pedestrian area of 1.5 km around the NSK "Olympic" on the streets Tereschenkivska and Pushkin. In general, the 1.5 km zone around the stadium will repair pavement on 12 major streets.
